Crude oil
We arrange physical supply of crude oil grades for refineries and qualified industrial counterparties. Transactions are structured cargo by cargo or as term programmes, based on grade, origin, assay, volume and delivery window. Typical deliveries are made on FOB, CFR/CIF or DAP terms in line with the latest Incoterms® rules.
Refined products
Our refined products portfolio covers the main middle distillates, light ends and heavy fuels traded internationally:
- Diesel EN590 (10 ppm sulphur) and gasoil grades
- Jet fuel Jet A-1 and aviation kerosene
- Gasoline and blending components
- Fuel oil, including low-sulphur grades, and marine fuels (VLSFO, MGO)
- Naphtha and selected refinery products
Specifications, origins and available volumes depend on current market conditions and are confirmed individually for each enquiry.
How a transaction works
Each transaction starts with a clear specification of product, quantity, delivery terms and payment structure. After satisfactory due diligence on both sides, terms are agreed in a written sales and purchase agreement. Quality and quantity are typically determined by independent inspection at the load or discharge port. Payment is usually secured through recognised banking instruments such as documentary letters of credit or standby letters of credit issued by first-class banks.
Compliance
SOTACO works only with qualified commercial counterparties. All transactions are subject to satisfactory KYC/AML checks, compliance with applicable sanctions and export control laws, and a separate written agreement. More information is available in our legal notice.
